Abstract
⺠Effects of LSPwC on 3D roughness and mechanical properties of Al6082 are evaluated. ⺠LSPwC treated specimen's indicated small tendency of the surface texture orientation. ⺠Peak-to-peak amplitude and wave period of LSPwC-induced craters were analysed. ⺠Micro-hardness confirmed shock wave effect of up to 800 μm below the surface. ⺠LSPwC process imparts high compressive residual stresses up to â 407 ± 81 MPa.
