Abstract
⺠SiO2 and silane coatings deposited on rough hot dip galvanized steel substrates. ⺠Analytical characterizations reveal obtained coatings distribution and thickness. ⺠SiO2 coating is rather homogeneous in thickness whatever substrate surface. ⺠Silane coating is not homogeneous in thickness, especially on rough surfaces. ⺠Used spot size has a crucial influence on the results of measurements.
