Abstract
⺠Surface topography considerably influence on forming tools galling resistance. ⺠Post-polishing improves galling resistance and quality of the formed part. ⺠If lubricated textured surface postpones adhesion of work material to steel surface. ⺠Shot-peening has negative effect on friction and galling resistance. ⺠For coatings, roughness and topography effect on galling depends on coating type.
