Abstract
⺠Ni-TiC nanocomposite was electrodeposited from an organic free nickel electrolyte. ⺠Highest volume percentage of TiC particles is obtained at 70 mA/cm2. ⺠Ni matrix grain size is refined by the increase of the TiC particle incorporation. ⺠TiC particles were uniformly distributed in the Ni matrix at 70 mA/cm2. ⺠The maximum value of microhardness coating was 410 HV.
