Abstract
⺠The effect of residual stress on the concentration of hydrogen around a crack tip was investigated. ⺠The residual stress affects hydrostatic stress and hydrogen concentration around the crack tip. ⺠When compressive residual stress exists, the hydrogen concentration can be reduced.
