Abstract
⺠Plasma surface modification of PTFE with an atmospheric pressure plasma jet in argon and argon/CO2 ⺠Short plasma treatment times enable a small decrease in contact angle caused by incorporation of oxygen ⺠At extended treatment times, the contact angle increases again due to advanced chain scission ⺠Wettability of PTFE cannot be greatly enhanced because of surface degradation processes
