Abstract
► Spray parameters of a bimodal WC-12Co powder are optimized by Taguchi experiment. ► Economic, moderate and high level of WC-12Co powder spray parameters are suggested. ► A visualization approach is employed to investigate the wear mechanism of coating. ► Bimodal coating exhibits higher wear resistance compared with conventional one.
