Abstract
►Electrodeposited Ni-TiCN nanocomposite was prepared and characterized. ►Electrochemical codeposition parameters were optimized. ►Ni-23.9 vol.% TiCN was obtained at 4 Ad m− 2, pH 4, 50 °C and, 6 g l− l TiCN in the bath. ►Ni-TiCN composite exhibited more hardness and wear resistance than nickel deposit. ►Ni-TiCN composite exhibited better corrosion resistance than nickel deposit.
