Abstract
► We fabricated composite coating comprising hydroxyapatite and titanium dioxide. ► A Ti substrate was buried in the calcium phosphate slurry, and then the substrate was heated at 923 K in air. ► The growth rate of the calcium phosphate precipitate from a simulated body fluid was extensively enhanced by the coating.
