Abstract
⺠Si3N4, SiC and WC are good material candidates for components in water. ⺠GLC films reduce the friction and wear of ceramics under dry-sliding condition. ⺠GLC films reduce the friction and wear of ceramics in water. ⺠GLC film on WC exhibits super-low wear in water.
