Abstract
► Submicron particles of crystalline SnO2 were synthesized. ► Ni-SnO2 composite coatings were developed on steel surface by electrodeposition. ►Increase in SnO2 content of coating produced a decrease in its wear rate. ► Increase in SnO2 content of coating produced an increase in its hardness.
