Abstract
► Nanopatterned zinc titanate thin films were prepared on Si wafers by dipcoating. ► The impact of the TiCl4/ZnCl2 ratio on the structure and crystallinity was studied. ► The well-ordered structure could be maintained up to 50% of Zn precursor. ► The main crystal phases were anatase TiO2 and Zn2Ti3O8 after calcination at 700 °C. ► A clear correlation between the crystallization and the nanostructure was observed.
