Abstract
⺠Fourier amplitude spectra of noise are well fitted by a single Lorentzian. ⺠This measures how closely, or not, the response approaches the single-pixel ideal. ⺠Noise in the Fourier amplitudes is (1âÏ/4) times the shot noise power spectrum. ⺠Finite variance in the single-electron responses adds to the output noise. ⺠This excess noise may be equal to or greater than shot noise itself.
