Abstract
⺠An experimentally reconstructed Au[110] exit wave was used to demonstrate the proposed method in Part I of this two-part paper. ⺠The atom column positions are estimated using the statistical parameter estimation theory. ⺠The exact vertical position of every atom column is determined from a so-called defocus curve. ⺠These results show that the analyzed area is inclined upwards over about 25° whereas the edge is bended downwards. ⺠The analyzed area is thin and consists of three consecutive numbers of atoms.
