Abstract
Blackbody-radiation-induced transitions from Rydberg states in S-, P-, D-series of neutral potassium are investigated at temperatures T=100-2000K. Key features of such transitions are described. The improved approximation for rates of blackbody-radiation-induced decays and excitations from Rydberg states is proposed with an adaptation for wide range of temperatures.
