Abstract
A three-body classical trajectory Monte Carlo method is applied in the study of positron and argon atom collisions at impact energies between 10 and 60Â eV. The calculations are based on the independent particle model. We present state selective and total positronium formation cross sections as a function of the impact energy. Our results are compared with recent experimental data.
