Abstract
⺠Natural ferrous chamosite, a naturally occurring marine clay serves as a catalyst. ⺠Catalyst for C-O bond formation for the synthesis of a wide variety of diaryl ethers. ⺠Recyclable and efficient catalyst with consistent activity. ⺠This ligand-free, natural catalyst catalyzed coupling of aryl iodides and aryl bromides with phenols. ⺠Affords excellent possible atomic economy when accounted with respect to substrate and product.
