Abstract
- Little is known about the way fishers perceive climate change in small island states.
- A structured questionnaire was used to obtain data from Antigua in the Caribbean and Efate in the South Pacific.
- Fishers perceived that there were changes in precipitation, temperature and wind speed.
- Fishers' perception did not always match the meteorological data but implemented adaptation measures.
- This study will add to the limited knowledge of how fishers are adapting to climate change in Small Island Developing States.
