Evaluation of wind extremes and wind potential under changing climate for Indian offshore using ensemble of 10 GCMs

- Assessment is carried out at global as well as local scale along Indian shoreline.
- Multimodel ensemble results comply well with reanalysis dataset outcomes.
- In future the wind potential may increase by 5-7 percent along eastern offshore.
- No significant change in the extreme wind may be expected along Indian coastline.
