Abstract
⺠New organizations and processes may be necessary to re-engage coastal communities in climate change. ⺠Boundary organisations are relevant in a variety of management settings from coastal adaptation to fisheries. ⺠Boundary agents can work within boundary organisations to enhance dialogue and outcomes. ⺠The exact relationship between boundary agents and decision makers is important. ⺠Boundary agents may be too close or removed from decision makers and this impacts their credibility and effectiveness.
