Abstract
Recently, the authors proposed the hybrid Local Domain-Free Discretization and Immersed Boundary Method (LDFD-IBM) (Wu et al. 2012), which can be used to solve the flow problem within complex domain with truly 2nd order accuracy (Wu 2017). As a non-conforming mesh method, LDFD-IBM can be extended to handle the moving boundary problems. In this paper, the strategy of LDFD-IBM for incompressible flows problems with moving boundary is presented. The numerical tests are carried out to validate the method, including the simulation of flows past single/multiple moving objects.
