Abstract
It is believed that marine-beings have little swimming resistance due to the micro-bubbles adhered on the surface of some marine animals and this kind of microstructure makes discontinuous three-phase contact surfaces, which include a gas-solid interface between the animal surface and the bubbles, and also a gas-liquid interface between the liquid of the surroundings and the bubbles. The purpose of research is to seek a better understanding into the resistance reduction due to the special interface. A model was established to calculate the gas-solid boundary layer and gas-liquid boundary layer velocity distributions. Experimental research was also made by establishing a holographic optical experiment system to describe the velocity distribution changes on the surface of the bubbles.163
