Abstract
The presented paper is an attempt to describe different forces generated by the pods propulsion system installed on the sea-going vessel. The general methodology of the calculation process is presented at the beginning. Next the equations describing propulsive forces formed by the pods are given. The phenomenon of the interaction between pods is incorporated into calculation scheme. The final part of this work presents the formulas which allow us to obtain the resistance forces generated by the pods bodies with and without interaction effect.
