Abstract
⺠We propose a new index for performance assessment of the coastal facilities. ⺠A probabilistic approach is adopted to assess the performance level of facilities. ⺠The index is quite beneficial for an adaptation strategy against global warming. ⺠More accurate assessment of the benefits will be achieved by applying this concept. ⺠The proposed approach can be applied for performance deterioration.
