Abstract
Also, this article describes the procedure and methodology used to perform sipping test on the fuel assemblies either in reactor pool or spent fuel storage pool. A unique ability of this simulator is analyzing direct spectroscopy files from experimental data of a real operating reactor. The sipping test simulator is a full-feature training curriculum in spent nuclear fuels storage technology with a PC-based simulator. This simulator is written in C# programming language for a Windows based computer. The simulator will teach everything needed to know for identifying the fuel defects using sipping test process. As learning the basics of sipping test step wise, a freshman operator will soon be able to accomplish all steps in practice.
