Abstract
⺠We present an overview of the most important site and environmental radioactive contamination problems encountered. ⺠The potential role of different phytomanagement options is discussed and illustrated with examples. ⺠The phytomanagement options considered are: soil phytoextraction, rhizofiltration, wetlands and alternative land use.
