Abstract
⺠Using porous media model, the compressible coolant flow in PBMR is explored. ⺠The BCC arrangement of fuel particles is considered and using ANSYS CFX, CFD simulation of core is carried out. ⺠Formula of pressure drop presented by Kugeler and Schulten is modified. ⺠Coolant density is considered as a function of the cores length in ANSYS CFX. ⺠Helium compressibility role in core cooling system has been demonstrated.
