Abstract
⺠German legislation favors the development of flexible bioenergy technologies. ⺠Flexible technologies can be established along whole conversion pathways. ⺠Options include substrate management and storing intermediates, gas or heat. ⺠Although increasing flexibility raises costs, it offers further income from EEG. ⺠Flexible technologies can participate in new energy markets.
