Abstract
⺠Entropy generation in a parabolic trough receiver at different inlet temperatures and concentration ratios was investigated. ⺠Increasing the concentration ratio increases the entropy generated. ⺠Increasing inlet temperatures reduces the entropy generated. ⺠For a given concentration ratio and inlet temperature there is an optimal Reynolds number that minimizes the entropy generated. ⺠The Bejan number approaches 1 at low Reynolds numbers for all inlet temperatures and concentration ratios.
