Abstract
⺠We modelled a shell-and-tube latent heat thermal energy storage unit by means of CFD. ⺠Entropy generation analysis is performed for both un-finned and finned systems. ⺠Design improvement of the finned system is conducted on the basis of entropy generation distribution. ⺠Entropy generation analysis of an unsteady state process is detailed.
