Abstract
⺠Hot fuel gas clean-up is a highly favorable technology for IGCC concepts. ⺠Significant IGCC efficiency improvements are possible with hot fuel gas clean-up. ⺠Size reductions of several IGCC components are possible. ⺠Higher desulfurization temperatures do not sensibly affect IGCC efficiency. ⺠IGCC efficiency as high as 53% is possible with a 1500°C-class combustion turbine.
