Abstract
► We observed the impact of contamination with Cs-137 and Sr-90 on soil functions. ► The contamination went up to 30-fold of that in the 30 km Chernobyl zone. ► The radioactive contamination inhibited the 2,4-D mineralization temporary. ► The bacterial and fungal community structure was also affected.
