Abstract
⺠We assess the validity of the assumption that geological detail will not influence simulation outcomes of CO2 storage capacity. ⺠We look at the effect of modeling top surface geometry in a CO2 storage site. ⺠Storage capacity is estimated by spill point analysis and flow simulation. ⺠For the fluid flow simulation method, we look at the effect of grid resolution. ⺠The morphology of top seal is of great importance for the storage capacity and migration patterns.
