Abstract
•The drilling performance of PDC and WC-Co percussion bits was experimentally estimated.•The PDC percussion bit exhibits higher drilling performance than the WC-Co percussion bit.•The PDC percussion bit exhibits superior durability to the WC-Co percussion bit.
