Abstract
Solar cells with p-poly(3-methylthiophene)/n-silicon heterojunctions have been fabricated by one-step electrodeposition of 3-methylthiophene onto textured n-Si wafers. The devices deliver a 2.0 mA cm−2 short current density and 0.26 V open-circuit voltage with a 0.42% power conversion efficiency under an AM1.5 simulated solar intensity of 30 mW cm−2. The devices with neutral poly(3-methylthiophene) show much lower performance.
