Abstract
► Life cycle carbon footprint (CF) of various food products was compared. ► Food items include beef, pork, chicken, rice and potatoes. ► The compiled CF results were discussed for the prospects of carbon labelling. ► A standardized LCA is recommended to provide information for carbon labels. ► A survey in Singapore showed 76% positive response for having carbon labels.
