Abstract
The process investigated in this study derives from obtaining a solvent-free patent leather and using combinations of carbonyl-functional resins with the aim of eliminating isocyanates and polyaziridines from base formulations. The final product obtained is environmental-friendly and meets the requirements of the VOC Solvents Directive. The new process results in economic savings up to 19% and there is a reduction of 97% in VOCs.
