Abstract
⺠A new methodology for identifying sustainable BAT options developed based on LCA. ⺠Enables benchmarking of different BAT options and selection of most sustainable alternative. ⺠Methodology applied on a case study of the manufacture of ceramic tiles in Spain. ⺠The most sustainable BAT are heat recovery from flue gas and clean-up with CaCO3 and/or Ca(OH)2.
