Abstract
⺠Cork sector provides a very useful natural, renewable and local resource. ⺠The main products of the cork sector were quantified and analysed environmentally. ⺠Cork as material is used to manufacture different products with low emissions. ⺠Cork sector helps to fix 14.6 tonnes CO2 per t of raw cork converted into main products. ⺠A single natural cork stopper contributes to fix 234 g CO2 eq. in cork oak forests.
