Abstract
► Sieving pre-treatment improved anaerobic digestion of strawberry waste. ► The methane production yield increased from 230 to 312 mLSTP CH4/g VSadded. ► The OLR was higher for pre-treated waste (5.3-2.8 versus 8.0-12.0 kg waste/m3 d). ► Inhibition was observed for increasing loads at lower loads of untreated waste.
