Abstract
⺠Urban metabolism should shift from a linear to a circular metabolism. ⺠We propose urban harvesting based spatial planning toward productive cities. ⺠Multi-functionality - actors, functions, requirements, patterns - allows cascading. ⺠We propose urban functions interaction to increase sustainability and guide planning. ⺠Results showed that cities can be productive, next to consumptive.
