Abstract
⺠We compare carbon and water footprints in fresh tomato production. ⺠In all cases reduction in carbon emissions is a priority. ⺠Transport of tomatoes and artificial heating of greenhouses is a hotspot in carbon footprints. ⺠Further development of water use impacts at the endpoint level is essential.
