Abstract
In this study, a new method for estimating the higher heating value (HHV) of biomass-plastic mixture fuel and municipal solid waste (MSW) was developed, which was based on carbon, hydrogen and oxygen content of fuel obtained by ultimate analysis. Meanwhile, the validity of the estimated HHV was proven by the comparison with the HHV measured by an auto calorimeter. After comparing with other model, it was found that the average absolute error (AAE) and the average bias error (ABE) of our model for estimating biomass-plastic HHV was the lowest, and the correlation coefficient (R2) was the highest.
