Abstract
Dish Stirling is a promising technology since eighties of the last century. It has some interesting advantages like efficiency and environmental care. Nevertheless, its reliability depends on some important parameters as Energy loses reliability of the Stirling engines, dispatchability and LCOE (levelized cost of energy). This work tries to offer a global solution for some of the main problems. A prototype of a new concept of Dish Stirling is presented. The concept can be summarized as an upside down Dish Stirling. In one hand, the housing of the Stirling is placed in the shadow of the concentrator by the other hand the concentrator will be made by plastic injection manufacturing process. The concentrator was measured and it was evaluated by PSA (Plataforma Solar de Almeria). This research was supported by CDTI (Spanish development agency) in IDI20100067.
