Abstract
⺠We introduce an improved workflow for systematic gas shale characterization. ⺠A suite of shales from a number of sedimentary basins around the world. ⺠Petrophysics using XRD, XRF, CEC, SSA often correlate with geomechanical properties. ⺠Permeability can be determined using Mercury Injection Capillary Pressure (MICP). ⺠SEM and X-ray CT imaging provide additional correlating parameters.
