Abstract
⺠A coordinate transformation may result in the changes in the local flow geometry and/or the shape of the well or probe. ⺠Solutions may look different when different transformations are used. ⺠If the changes in the flow geometry and/or the well shape are included in the solutions, different forms of solutions become the same solution. ⺠This paper uses the cases of a fully-penetrated vertical well, a horizontal well, and a formation testing probe to discuss the issue.
