Abstract
Colloidal mercuric sulphide particle inclusion during electrochemical formation of cadmium selenide has been attempted to explore possibilities of obtaining enhanced photoresponsiveness and reduced electrochemical corrosion. Photoaction spectral studies and photopotential measurements show significant improvement in the photoexcitabiltiy of the composites. Colloidal mercuric sulphide containing electrodeposits also exhibit substantially improved resistance towards electrochemical corrosion.
