Abstract
⺠Supernova remnants (SNRs) accelerate cosmic rays (CRS) to relativistic energies. ⺠Interactions of CRs leads to production of gamma-rays. ⺠Presently, gamma-rays are detected from a number of young and mid-age SNRs. ⺠But we do not have yet an answer whether SNRs are the main contributors to CRs. ⺠The future Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) can play a crucial role in this regard.
