Abstract
⺠Abnormally warm summer mesopause region observed by MaCWAVE Rocket Program in 2002. ⺠This also seen by the TIMED/SABER instrument in 2002, 2007 and 2010. ⺠The 2002 event was preceded by stratospheric warming (SW) in the southern hemisphere. ⺠SABER data shows that the heating in the north occurred within 1 week of the SW. ⺠The cycle of the abnormal warmings was about 31 months.
