Abstract
⺠The role of electrons during shock-induced chorus intensification is investigated. ⺠Energy source is attributed to betatron acceleration and radial diffusion. ⺠Energy loss is attributed to pitch-angle diffusion. ⺠No energetic electrons injected from magnetotail.
